ever tried triple date? hahaha. i did. had triple date with my big bro, his gf, my sis and her bf. that's something good about having so many siblings. hahaha. it was quite funny actually. my sis and her bg went to orchard to catch a movie, while ben and i went to orchard to shop. then while chilling at starbucks in wisma and waiting for sis and bf to go for dinner tgth, i decided to drop big bro a text that goes,"sea hum tonight?" hahahaha. the "sea hum" became the joke of the night. coincidentally, big bro and gf were on their way to town too!!! :D so in the end we decided to go to this french restaurant that sells authentic french cuisine at cheaper price. here comes the drama of the night!!!! fuming at the thought of it!!! >:{
firstly, we waited half an hr for our seats, which we thought was reasonable coz it was a saturday night and there were lots of ppl there. soon after we sat down, the few caucasians that came shortly after us(about 10 mins) got their seats!!! coincidence you might say...but carry on reading...
as soon as we sat down, we placed orders for our food as we were already famished like siao!!! then we waited and waited until the flowers withered...after about 45 mins of waiting(with intervals of us asking them to check on our orders), we asked the manager to check on our food and she said it was "coming". and we looked around and saw the same few caucasians who came later than us and placed orders later than us, EATING THEIR FOOD HAPPILY!!!! WTH!!! so we decided to call the lady boss and she appeased us by saying that they are "cooking the food now"!!!! so after 1hr15mins of waiting then they finally start to cook our orders???!!!! after serving all the caucasians FIRST!!!! we couldnt believe our ears...for a moment i thought we were back to the colonial times where they regarded caucasians as people of higher status and respect. FINALLY after a total of 1hr30mins of waiting PURELY for our FOOD, we got to feed our poor stomachs which alr shrinked by more than half by then. angrily, we ate our food and when we called for the bill, we decided that we shall not pay for the near to $20 buck as service charge, since no service was provided for in the first place. it was such a horrible dining experience, nothing that i would expect to get in Singapore where everyone is talking about service excellence and "GEMS"--> go the extra mile for service!! what a joke!
thus, we tried to reason with the manager and lady boss that the service charge was not justifiable AT ALL!!! and for your information, not a word of apology was offered from the beginning to the end. all they did was to defend themselves by saying RIDICULOUS things like "the order was given to our kitchen and they were preparing the food". come on, even if they need to slaughter the animal on the spot to prepare for the dishes, it wouldnt even take 1.5hrs to do that, PLEASE!!! give a better excuse!! and I CANT BELIEVE THE LADY BOSS SAID "GOOD SERVICE, POOR SERVICE ALSO SERVICE, sorry you would have to pay for the service charge" i cant believe that anyone running a business with BRAIN could say that to their customer!! so what, they think we are a group of youngsters who are trying to sponge on them by refusing to pay the service charge? and worst of all, the tone and attitude of the manager and lady boss was horrific throughout the whole time. so what if the majority of their customers are caucasians? we would gladly pay for the service charge if they offered an apology SINCERELY. they dont even have the basic courtesy to do that. i'm utterly disappointed. Nah, disgusted would be a better word to describe how i felt. i think it's just plain stupid of them to do that to their local customers, having to lost potentially a few hundreds/thousands customers(if we were to recommend to our friends,but i SWEAR that it would never happen!!!) over that $20.
DEAR FRIENDS/PASSER-BYS-who-happen-to-chance-upon-my-blog/FELLOW SINGAPOREANS,
PLEASE DO NOT PATRONISE OR SHOULD I SAY WE OUGHT TO BOYCOTT this stall. IT's called The French Stall, located at 544 Serangoon Road 218166. The bitchy+arrogant lady's boss name is Mdm Yong. What a suck up to foreigners and disgrace to locals.
Check out this other review which I found on
http://yum.sg/?component=view_restaurant&restaurant_id=1691 :
"I just spent two hours at this restaurant waiting for our meal and then received a raw steak. My wifes meal was actually okay, but my new(20 min. later)steak was once again very undercooked. All this went on without a single explanation or care at all from the waitstaff or owner for that matter. This apparently was business as usual at the French Stall. We got our bill which had the wrong and more expensive meals on it and I went to speak with the owner. I inquired about a possible discount which to him was the most ridiculous thing he had ever heard. He proceeded to tell me that he had no interest in offering any discount on our bill after our experience because he "was already certain we would not return so why would I want to lose twice and give you a discount on this bill." HOLY CRAP! I have to give him credit for his complete lack of caring right to his customers face. Much of the waitstaff was pretty rude all night but this all starts from the top or owner, who in this case was the most arrogant disinterested owner I've ever encountered.We can only laugh at how ridiculous this experience was and never go back, but hopefully keep anyone else from wasting their money here, as it wasn't that funny!This place is awful, but it's the owner's uncompromising arrogance that should keep anyone from spending a single cent here. OH, and the terrible service and overpriced ehhh food."
Hohoho. See it's not just me/us who received this kind of "service".
Be careful not to be their next victim!!!
Still got lots to say but i'm knocking off already!!! shall update again tml/soon. :D

talk about bridging the gap. can someone tell me how to fill up 5 yrs worth of gap? and with what? htht? our common activities? i think i know the answer....just move on...
on a brighter note, i had a FUNtastic weekend well spent with my family. daddy,mummy,me,ben,sis,bro and gf went to pulau ubin tgth!!! it's the first time for me and mummy!!! X: yes i'm mountain tortoise...hahaha!!! had dim sum at changi village before taking bumboat to ubin. :D rented bicycles and the 7 of us cycled to the marina resort for a break. went along the coastline and saw lots of hermit crabs, mini-mussels (mini as in really small, like a grain of rice) and brave daddy caught a small crab (like a bit smaller than my palm) but he was injured by the crab's pincer. ): but we 大发慈悲 let the crabs go free in the end...): they were really nice to look at!!! (: it was so cute when the 7 of us were exploring the coastline and being fascinated by those small little creatures. <3 <3 <3 not to forget seeing mum and dad cycling so hard and sweating so much. bet they couldnt even remember when was the last time they exercised!!! Heeeheee...love how we look out for one another when we were cycling...so heartwarming!! :D then we went fishing. my virgin fishing experience!! big bro's excitement were were super shortlived. it only took him less than 3 mins from the time he threw the bait into the pond to him catching the golden snapper. hahaha!!! i was second in place. took abit more than 10 mins to catch a golden travelli. then it was dad's turn to hooked up the biggest catch of the day, mr red snapper. lastly sis ended our fishing adventure with a milk fish. hehe. poor ben,mum and yvonne 吃鸡蛋!!hahaha!! packed the fishes and mum and dad left home first to prepare the fish before going to work, while the 5 of us continued on our pulau ubin adventure. cycled round to chek jawa. hate the inclined slopes to the max!!! sooo tiring!! ): but it was rewarding when we got to the top of the viewing tower and had our mini-picnic there. bet those bangalas and ang-mohs were super jealous of us!! :D then went onto the trails and saw my favourite mud-skipper!! debated if it was edible and whether it would taste like fish or mud. hehehe. left the island at close to 6pm. had red dates jelly with longans at changi village(sis's recommendation). not bad,at least something different from the normal desserts outside. then feasted on the cockles. it was super sinful. i hope i dun get hepatitis B for that. hahaha. the sambal chilli is heaven!!! i started craving for it once i finished my last piece. BOO HOO HOO!!! ))):
secretly feel blessed to have my big bro as my bro.hehe.he is superb i tell you.not only is he smart and handsome(ok maybe not to all, but is charismatic k), he also has the brains(lawyer,duh?),顾家,got foresight etc etc....of all the qualities, i admire him most for his efforts to bond the family and helps the family out. seriously how many guys in our era are like him? i bet there wont be more than a dozen. he never makes dad or mum pay during our family outings and he takes care of all our insurance policies, making sure that we get the best protection. despite all these, he can be quite a joker at times. secretly peeping at my sis and bro's sms out of k-po'ness and gossiping about my siblings together with me. this silly bro of mine always likes to confide in me whenever he's feeling troubled. must be the affinity between the oldest and youngest child. hahaha. if i am granted a choice, i would not hesitate even for a split second to choose him as my big bro in my next lifetime!!! hehehe!!! <3
signing off feeling bloated with happiness~~~ ((: <3
